Pinterest Worthy Bridal Shower in Lancaster, PA - Spring Lake Photography

Last October, you may recall that I walked in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure.  On the first day, someone called my name, and when I spun around to find out who it was, it turned out to be a wonderful woman, and repeat walker Cathy!  Cathy and I have been to a few events together, and as she told her sons on Day 2 or 3, I was "Patrick's Big Sister."  For Cathy, the 3-Day has become as much of a family event as it has become for my own family.
On Day 1, Cathy asked about my photography, and whether or not I was accepting new jobs.  She had a daughter who had gotten engaged, and was starting to plan her wedding.  Naturally, I couldn't wait to hear more!  At the time, I could only imagine Cathy's daughter to be just as amazing as she was, but it wasn't until I got to find out more about Anita Joy that I realized how big of an honor this really would be.
A few months later, Anita Joy and I worked out her booking for her wedding day, which will be in July.  Since then, I have discovered that Anita Joy has been serving her country, community, and family for quite some time.  As a member of the Marines in the past, Anita Joy currently serves as a firefighter in her community, and raises her daughter, all while being part of a large family with many brothers and sisters, who are all committed to making the world a better place.  I am incredibly honored to be a part of their celebration in July, and hope that I can work to get to know the family better in the future.
That all said, Cathy reached out to me a month or two before Anita Joy's bridal shower, and asked me to come spend a few hours photographing it.  I decided there was no way I would miss it, and it was a BEAUTIFUL day.  I hope you enjoy these photos, as much as I enjoyed taking them and spending time with this wonderful family!
